When I first looked at this lamp the circular pattern of the diamond shaped glass pieces seemed random. But it turns out they create a sunflower when the light is on. It came in great packaging and simple instructions, but you can put it together easily. However, watch out for the spring prongs that hold the lamp together. The spring hinge is tight. If you lose your grip it will pinch your fingers. (Guess how I figured that out). Slip the glass globe onto the lamp body over two prongs, then bend in the third one and it will go in place. Next, insert the lightbulb provided. Repeat the same process for the top piece; insert shade over one prong and push in the other one with your fingers. Conservation gloves are provided to protect your hands in case of chipping or breakage. The on switch is in the cord. The design is traditional Turkish, but the floral design is more modern. I might go with a softer bulb, as the LED provided is a bit too bright for me. Recommended.
