Very sturdy/heavy base and looks great. The mechanism for fastening the shade is plastic, so I'm concerned about how well it will last. With a 100 watt equivalent bulb, it will be bright enough to read when sitting right next to it.

Shade is not at all how it is portrayed in the picture.

I bought my lamp with a Mellon lampshade cover. Looks great an gives my lanai a lovely atmosfair. Pros: Very durable.

Like it. However, the shade slips over the lampshade frame which makes it it a bit loose, otherwise I really like it.Nice look and has a warm glow which is very pleasant I purchased " Jockey Red" Serves the purpose well.
