This light fits our needs perfectly. We wanted to update the coach light at the side entrance of our house—an entrance we don’t use very often—and this fixture turned out to be a great choice.
First, the light looks absolutely beautiful with its classic style. It really enhances the appearance of that side of our home.
We also appreciate that it uses standard light bulbs that can be easily replaced if one goes out, unlike fixtures with built-in LEDs that can’t be changed. We installed an LED bulb for efficiency.
One of our favorite features is the motion-sensing option. At night the light remains off, but when it detects someone nearby, it turns on automatically. This is helpful for two reasons:
(1) Convenience: It lights the area when we need to be there at night.
(2) Security: If someone who doesn’t belong there approaches, the sudden light can be a deterrent.
Another excellent feature is the built-in GFCI double outlet. We plan to use it to safely power our holiday lights, which is incredibly convenient.
The light arrived well packaged with an appropriate amount of protective material. The instructions were clear, and replacing our existing fixture took about 15 minutes.
Our only suggestion for improvement is related to the back of the fixture. We wish the bottom portion of the back plate—where it mounts to the wall—were enclosed instead of open. Because our mounting area is smaller than the back of the light housing, part of the bottom remains exposed, which could allow dust or insects to enter. We plan to create a small cover for that section.
Overall, this is a well-made, attractive, and functional light that we are very happy with.
