My only complain is the length of the cord from the wall to the step turn on button, I have the cord wrapped around the base to deal with all the excess.

We needed a floor lamp for the corner of our family room over an armchair, and this works great. The base has a nice weight to it, so it doesn't feel like it will tip over, and the lamp provides a good amount of ambient light, or light to read by. I may switch out the shade for a different color in the future, but overall this lamp does exactly what we needed it to do, so we are happy. The assembly is very straighforward and takes just minutes.
