We get compliments from everyone who comes in the room! The light is definitely for ambiance only, as I was expecting since the bulb is shaded. It gives off the most beautiful golden glow.

This is a pretty sconce-- I like the look of the hammered metal. I took off one star because the color is closer to gold than brass. It's slightly yellow. Still this is a nice, well made sconce.

These lights are a great statement. We put them in our powder room. With a warm white LED bulb, they are bright enough (which was my concern with the fixture and the fact that it directs the light towards the wall)
