We have the outdoor lights set up all around our house in the yard, but wanted to extend them over the patio. These posts were perfect! We inserted them in the lawn, but there are options for concrete mounting and deck mounting as well. The stakes for the lawn were 10", so they will stay put. Also, the poles are high enough (11 ft) to keep the lights at the level we prefer. This was a great buy!
