The two pieces do not completely touch each other, so i am trying to fill in the gaps with joint compound bow.will have to sand and repaint after that. It turned out to be more hassle that if I bought a solid one piece. The back surface is rough, so there may be gaps between the ceiling and the piece. But from far away it looks good.

Great medallion. Matches my crown moulding in my kitchen very nicely. And you can't beat the price!
