This is truly a lovely design, unique and stately. Really wanted to like it for my fireplace but couldn't keep it.the size is excellent, the weight is good too. The square cut notches add a castle effect, Primarily my issue was with the photo colour in the website which shows that gold is the primary hue even though the colour was stated as bronzed brass. Yes, bronze is brown, but looked more like copper that was flat matte. Sadly I returned it as for that price, I couldn’t justify painting it and risking an unpleasant outcome.
