So the design is flawless - we are in love. However the quality is disappointing - in only one area... the mounting plate. The metal used elsewhere in the fixture is thick, and very sturdy, but the skimped on where it matters most. The metal at the base (the mounting plate) is so thin that the whole lamp wobbles. It is not ultimately a problem since the walls don't exactly shake in our house. The really issue was how annoying it made the installation. Very. It was very annoying and took a whole day for a true handy man to get just right (I was very picky about spacing though so that for sure came into play). Because of the flimsy metal, when you want to adjust the arm position, you have to be gentle and slow and deliberate. No adjusting is possible while laying in bed. I don't think this warrants returning it, just know it is cheaper quality than it looks.

Cute accent light. Ajustable arm works well. Brass color interior of shade is a nice touch.
