Something is wrong with it, problably the switch, it no longer works. A lamp should last sever years before it stops working.

Lamp itself is stunning. Strong, sturdy base. Beautiful, classy brass. And the shade is cool - has a light filter. Nice. Only complaint: putting the pieces together requires some real patience. The cord has to be pulled through the rods AT THE SAME TIME as you fit the rods together. And you'll need to put the bottom rod (that attaches to the base) on first - or you'll be trying to twist the whole installation together. Other than that, happy purchase.

This light is fabulous! Easy to assemble. Heavy/ sturdy. Looks great! Our house is in the final stages of construction so ignore the lack of perfect.
