Lampe sur pied Malonis

This is a very sturdy lamp and had a unique design. The main frame is brass or brass colored metal and the whole thing is wrapped in twine. I think if you shellac costed the twine, it might make it look more upscale, but nice for a somewhat casual lamp.

This lamp is beautiful. It is sturdy and appears well made and the assembly was quick and easy. The textured shade has a slight sheen to it so it's a bit more like a silk then a linen. The rope detail makes it very unique.

This is a very nice lamp. The base is wrapped in twine (as shown on the listing pictures). I noticed that when assembling, the twine started to become loose in spots because I was being too forceful, so be gentle when assembling. The lamp shade is nicely textured which I did not notice in the original listing.

The first thing I noticed, when I opened the package was that this lamp has a beautiful, traditional shade. I have ordered some lamps lately where you have to construct it by Velcro-ing the shade to the frame. In my opinion, it makes the shade look flimsy and cheap. I love that the maximum wattage bulb is 100 W instead of 60 W, which isn’t nearly bright enough for a floor lamp. In addition, the weight of this lamp is perfect—very heavy, not tippy, and well balanced. The materials are excellent – the only reason I gave it four stars was that there is a blemish/scratch on the base. The brushed gold finish is really pretty, and the bright white linen shade is exactly what I wanted.
