When I first opened the box I was disappointed because the finish is darker than the photo. After it was hung I was and am extremely pleased. High quality chandelier! Also it is shown with shades but are not included. Fortunately I have an excellent custom shade company I do business with because typical shades are too small in scale for this oversized beauty!

Picture shows it looking medium to dark brown but turned out to be black. It is too dark for the area I had ordered for and does not match the decor at all, but unfortunately I am now stuck with it. Picture also showed shades and no option showed up during check out that shades had to be ordered separately. I had to call to order the shades and paid an additional amount per shade. Picture shows shades as a nice caramel color whereas the shades are almost white in color. The white shades with the black wrought iron make a very sharp contrast and it loses its elegance and charm. Hung in the room the shades look disproportionately small, not sure why.......

Pretty, subtle, I like the brown crystals, they didn't send shades but promised to do so soon.
