Base stand is well-made, assembles straight and is sturdy. The shade is TERRIBLE. I threw it away and bought my own shade. It was the worst white, had small stains on it, and is one of those that ships flat and needs to be assembled. Looks terrible whether the light's on or off. Garbage.
