It's a cute lamp but the base is not as dark as the picture portrays, it's more of a light salmon color. I wish it was darker. I also wish that it had a starfish on the back side of the lamp especially with the light color, the back side looks boring but overall it's still cute so I'm keeping it. *Added note: I added a starfish on the back side of the lamp. It looks much better.
