The description says it has a wood base. I guess they consider paper to be wood. And the top is very clearly brown in the photo which would have perfectly blended with our decor. Unfortunately it is the same black color as the “wood” base. Very disappointing. And the package was supposed to include a lightbulb which was missing. It’s very dark in my house nowadays.
