These lamps are very nice - contemporary and clean, and they work with various decor styles.
I almost removed a star because the metal brace at the top of the shade that attaches to the lamp is not dropped down 1/2 inch or so as is the case with most shades of this type. Because of that, the metal is more noticeable than usual. Also the metal is black instead of the usual gold or silver, again, making that hardware more pronounced and noticeable. (see photo) I planned on putting these lamps on end tables in my den but I didn't like the way it looked on those low tables --- anyone standing in the room can easily see the top of that shade and the metal part of the shade. Which was a negative IMO. Other people may not care. I ended up putting them on my daughter's dresser - which is significantly higher than the end tables - so the top of the shades are not as easy to see. I love the way they look at that higher level! The quality is very good - the lamp is a sturdy, good quality metal that doesn't look cheap at all. Very pleased but wish that metal brace on the shade was gold or silver and dropped down a bit.
