Wall control unit was not installed neither was the ceiling fan remote. I've read enough about the units and I believe that they are the right component that go with the new Hunter (Newsome 53314) ceiling fan. I can not explain why the Angie electrician could not install them?

I have had this ceiling fan for over two years. It has run constantly during that time without any issues whatsoever. The remote control that I purchased with this unit works great as well. I highly recommend both the remote and ceiling fan.

This control came with the fan and I thought it was a wired control but its not but it is it is a 120 volt on off switch the control part takes batteries and is wireless. And it is wall mounted and has to be removed to change the batteries what a joke

The wall mounted remote did not provide an acceptable operation. I am still working with the manufacture to diagnose the problem. The unit will work sometimes with the control not installed in the wall junction box. When installed in the wall box it will not function. It seems that the wall / box provides too much interference. The wall box is mounted approximately 15 feet from the receiver. Hunter requires pictures of the receiver wiring which will require significant disassembly to remove fan blades for ladder access. Since unit will operate outside of the mounting box, I do not believe the wiring is at fault. So far very disappointed with quality of the remote wall mounted control.

Remote works well and EASY to use wall mounted switch buttons wirelessly to receiver that perfectly fits inside motor cover.
