After reading the reviews, I took a chance on these. The packing is not the greatest as they are pretty loose in the box, but thankfully, mine arrived unbroken. The manufacturer has changed the metal on the "spider" legs on the lamp shade to silver (from gold like other reviewers complained about) and the lucite bases were not off center as others mentioned. One of my shades was slightly dented. The lamps themselves are beautiful. The photos online are a very close representation. They are a great size for the nightstands next to my King bed and the color is a lovely light blue. I have one unusual observation and that is that the lamps make a tiny "ting" type of noise randomly. It isn't loud or often- some people might never notice it, but it is a little odd. They have been in my house close to a week and I would have thought they would have acclimated to both temperature and humidity. This seems to have nothing to do with the light being off or on. Besides that, I love the lamps and am very happy with the quality and look for the price.

We were lucky that the one we got was not broken. It was a tad off center but the hubby was able to adjust that. Pottery is not always completely symmetrical, and that has thrown some folks off. My only suggestion is that I think it would look better with a less shiny glaze.

Just as some of the other reviews mention, both of my lamps arrived with the acrylic base off center. Also my lamps had cracks. It’s too bad because the lamps are pretty but defective. Clearly there was zero quality control in the manufacturing process.

The lamps arrived with the crystal bases offset, but I was able to twist them into place. They appear to have brass accents on the website, but it is in fact Chrome, but the spider web on the shade is brass. The ceramic base is very pretty and for that reason I kept them. Even though they are somewhat poorly made, they appear to be more expensive than they are.
