This is actually my third time writing this review. The first attempt failed to submit. The second attempt was successfully submitted, but never posted. Perhaps Wayfair does not like negative reviews. The fact is, this product does not match the picture used to advertise it. I ordered two of these lamps because I loved the colors, the varying stripe pattern and the finish. The lamps I received simply do not match, nor do they come close enough to attribute the differences to computer display, photo manipulation or variations in one lot from another. I loved the lamp in the picture; I would not have ordered the lamps I received. It is essentially a gold lamp with a fairly uniform, equidistant stripe pattern in colors that are similar to the picture, and as flat finish that does not come off as appealing as the lamp shown in the product listing. Furthermore, I question the quality. The metal used for the hardware for the bulb and shade bracket seems too soft and pliable. There is no brass ring where the stem meets the base, as shown in the picture. That may seem silly or trivial, but I noticed it since I had to screw the stems in myself and figured I'd point it out as another detail where the lamp Wayfair ships is not the lamp shown in the picture. Of course, this is among the products for which Wayfair will not accept returns. I will not be ordering from Wayfair again, nor will I be ordering JB Hirsch products again. You simply don't receive the products you ordered and paid for.
