I like this floor lamp. I have a 100w LED daylight bulb installed and it gives off a very soft pleasant light. I like the fact that the globe is glass and the base is solid and heavy. It was easy to put together. The reason for 4 stars, is that the metal the pole is made out of seems thin and of lesser quality than the base and globe which was surprising. I felt like if I tightened the connections too much, I would strip the threads; however, I really needed to tighten it as much as I could so that it wouldn't wobble and would be straight. I very gingerly and slowly applied as much pressure as I could to get it tight and straight. Luckily, it's only going in the corner of my office and won't be moved around a lot. I would be afraid it would come apart if it did. Overall, I am satisfied and if I decided I wanted more light in my office would probably purchase again.

Was hoping the brass was a little darker but it's a great lamp, nice shade

Needed an uplight for a dark corner of the living room. I love the retro yet modern shape. Has a nice heavy base and the globe is glass. Easy to assemble and set up. A pull chain may have looked more elegant than the switch on the neck, or a foot switch would have kept the design sleek.
