Beautiful, great lighting

I love this lamp it brings a curtain elegance to my living room. Bought the open box was worried it wouldn’t work but it did. So I scored a good deal.

The lamp works well for what I needed. The middle shade sits a little crooked; if I wanted to work on it, I could probably bend the framework on it to straighten but I’ll probably just quit while I’m ahead so I don’t break it. It was a little challenging to assemble. There was a plastic piece that didn’t seem to fit in the base assembly, so I took it off. And the base didn’t stand level; it wobbled. So, I had to put some sticky-backed pads on the bottom of the base to even it out.

One star rating because 1) hard to assemble. Instructions warn you not to strip the screws, but there’s no way to avoid it. 2) the lamp pole bottom has two triangular tabs that protrude from the edge and fit into two slots on the base. This is how the lamp attaches to the base. These triangular tabs so small they do not support the lamp. Each tab is about 38 of an inch long. And this is a heavy lamp. The lamp itself is really ugly. It looks like something you would have standing over a coffin at a funeral home. They are returnable so they say. But require hours and hours on the phone with Wayfair trying to arrange a FedEx pick up. I have been calling Wayfair and they’ve been sending out labels for FedEx for two weeks now and they are still out in my hallway. This has been a really big hassle. I’m not a big fan of Wayfair at this point. I have purchased about five or six items from Wayfair and every time I have a large item this is what happens. Eventually, they tell me don’t bother returning and my responsibility to find a place to dump a large piece of furniture or in this case three floor lamps two which I purchased in one of which is a replacement.All three of them have the exact problem.

Love this Lamp! Very classy, easy to assemble and sturdy.
