Love how you can connect to alexa and command when I want my light on.With a built in charging station comes in handy to have it all in one. Very awesome lamp.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Verve™ Designer Series Smart LED Desk Lamp with Wireless Charging, Voice-Enabled Design Works with Alexa, Adjustable White + RGB Light, Black When the Verve Designer Desk Lamp by Black+Decker caught my eye, I was pretty excited to get my hands on it.  I needed a lamp for the corner of my living room, and the design fitted our aesthetic, and too, because it can be controlled by Alexa, all the better.  So far we really love it, it's easy to use, gives you plenty of tones of light, and looks sharp while doing it. The lamp came well packaged, in perfect condition.   It took only a minute or two to put it together…the instructions make it quite clear that it can’t be taken apart again (the neck and stalk part), so you need to make sure it is in the right configuration.  To avoid accidental construction, the lamp is labeled “Back” very largely, so you aren’t likely to make a mistake.  The base is bolted together from underneath, so affixing that is no problem.  Lastly attach the cords…there are two, one for the light, and one for the charging base, and they taper together into one wall plug. Connecting to the Alexa app is no problem…make sure the lamp is in pairing mode by unplugging it and waiting 10 seconds, then plugging it back in.  A tiny red light will slowly blink letting you know it’s ready to pair, then in the Alexa app “add a device,” then “light,” then “Black+Decker.” Give it a few seconds and you are ready to go. The design is minimal and modern, and it fits our room perfectly.  The lamp has a nice sturdy weight to it, and the head of the lamp turns sideways about 25 degrees in both directions.   The light it produces can be adjusted to your preference.  On the lamp head you can manually turn it on, and cycle through the different temperatures of white and all the colors.  From the Alexa app you have more options, the most important being setting a routine for turning it on and off, and choosing a mode.  Interestingly there is a Circadian Rhythm Mode that automatically changes the temperature of the light throughout the day, mimicking the sunlight.  Pretty neat feature, especially if you have large windows and want to match the light.  Another great feature is that you can charge your smartphone on the base of the lamp, provided your cell phone has the capability.  It works fine, though it isn’t super fast, but the convenience certainly makes it worth it. I have plenty of Black+Decker tools, and I’ve been happy with them and their longevity, so I have every confidence that this lamp will work for a long time.  Too, I'm pretty excited to see what the company will produce next.  I am a very satisfied customer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Verve™ Designer Series has so many amazing features. It was super easy to put together in just a matter of minutes and then the fun began. Instead of a switch this has touch controls and you can make adjustments of where you want the light to shine. And even better you can change the colors and even change the lighting in connection with the circadian rhythm mode. I have never heard of a lamp that does all that. And one feature that I really like is that it is connected with Alexa so instead of feeling around in the dark to turn on the light you simply say Alexa turn on my lamp!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This desk lamp has a unique look. It’s modern and sleek. The LED bulb allows you to change colors which is a little gimmicky for me but kinda cool. I don’t envision that being used too often but maybe I’m wrong. The assembly was really easy and hooking it up to the Alexa app was smooth. You have the ability to change light colors through the app or on the lamp itself which is nice. Overall it is a good desk lamp that I will get great use out of over the years. The ability to dim the lights as well as use different settings that coordinate the light to the circadian rhythms of the day is neat. The chill mode progressively changes colors which might be neat for a party. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it doesn’t swivel range of motion is not that great. The light head can only go 180 degrees and the base more like 90 degrees. The wireless charging also is great but it doesn’t work through my phone case which is a modest OtterBox….not that thick. Overall I am happy with it though and would recommend with those caveats mentioned.
