Nice heavy base with a consistent, matte finish. Although I measured, this does feel larger/look larger than what I planned on. I think the shape of the shade gives it more visual weight, so make sure you’re ordering it for a spot that wants that kind of presence. I ended up using it in another spot because the scale was too big for our narrow entry table.
