[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The overall aesthetic of this product is exactly what I was looking for, to hang over a picture in my entry way. The reason I selected this particular product, was that it could be hard wired, or plugged in to an outlet, as I needed the plug in option. Unfortunately, the placement of the on/off switch makes it completely impractical, as it’s too close to the top of the light itself. If I ran the cord behind the picture as would be standard, the on/off switch would be behind the picture and you couldn’t turn it on/off without removing the picture from the wall and re-hanging it, which is obviously not an option. I suppose if you were just using this a wall sconce and not hanging a picture under it, it would work but as the name itself suggests, this is a picture light and meant to be hung over a picture. Sadly, due to the poor design, I cannot use it. It is stylish and well made, though.
