Do NOT waste your time and money to buy this. The older one had an orange light that ILLUMINATED the switch. THIS IS JUNK!

I replaced both 3-way switches when 1 failed. I thought illuminated switches would be a big plus in the bedroom. And they would be... I think. But after buying the Legrand I still don’t know. The pinhole LED on each switch is impossible to see unless at precisely the correct very narrow angle and even then, the light is so very dim as to be nearly invisible. I rarely submit product reviews but this product is so unsatisfactory that I felt obligated. Both switches will be replaced - again - with another brand of switches that produce visible illumination.

I bought this for a bathroom. The small white light is perfectly sized and brightness for helping find the switch in a dark room. I don't want a switch to be lit up like a night light, or have garish colors, or to cast light on the room. I want the room to be dark when the lights are off. I want the switch to be just bright enough to help find it in that dark room. These are perfect.

I was looking for a more sophisticated look and feel in our new home to replace the builder’s grade toggle switches and that would look at home along side the Caseta smart switches. These are it. Together with the screwless radiant wall plates, these are a vary nice addition to my home. I like the feel of the toggle action - not cheap feeling and hollow sounding like most. The finish on them is also better than most - doesn’t feel like smooth cheap plastic, but rather very slightly textured. The indicator light is perfect, and looks so much classier that those cheap looking illuminated switches where the whole toggle switch lights up like a night light. I wanted something subtle and attractive and these are it. I honestly don’t know why others don’t like this. In all locations where I don’t need a Caseta smart switch, I am installing these switches.

Like the others I assumed a lighted paddle switch meant the rocker switch was backlit. I installed it and thought something must be wrong since it didn't light up. At dark I saw this little pinhole that I guess is what they call "lighted." A waste of money.
