I purchased these for a switched outlet. The only difference between this and a standard duplex is the logo on the front. You still have to remove the connector tab on the back to make it a switched outlet. I would think this would be removed by the factory. You are essentially paying extra for the little logo on the front, you can break the same tab on a standard duplex outlet.

The Adorne collection does elevate any interior. I purchased the magnesium color outlets with plates to match a darker feature wall. So the outlet now looks discrete, yet high end. Also easy installation, no need to twist wires around screws.
