Ok. So these are really good lanterns, and I would give them 5 stars except for two reasons 1) I purchased these because they said they were battery powered, and yes, they do have batteries, but these are solar powered, and as such, have to be placed in a sunny location. I had purchased them for a shady area and had to change my plans. I believe it is misleading to state that these are battery powered. That being said, they are excellent solar powered lanterns that look really nice, and hold a charge for a long time. I was up at 400 am and they were still lit
2) although someone had taken the time to remove most of the stickers on the bottom of the boxes (I ordered 8 of these), it was still apparent that these had been at some point sold at Marshall’s, as the stickers were not completely removed. More troubling still was the fact that the sticker from Marshall’s indicated that these lanterns were 14.00 each, while I paid around 25.00 per lantern. I feel misled and hoodwinked. Not only are these lanterns not battery powered as that term is usually meant, they also were obtained at some discount from Marshall’s and sold at an up-charge to the gullible idiot that is me. It really undermines my faith in the products carried by Wayfair, though I will say that I have been uniformly pleased with everything I have ordered heretofore. So, had I known that these were solar powered rather than battery powered, and had the Marshall’s stickers been completely removed so that I could have remained blissfully ignorant of Wayfair’s duplicity, I would have given these 5 stars. As it is, I think 3 stars is generous. I am sorely disappointed, even though these lanterns are quite nice for what they are.
