Beautiful, heavy and very high quality. Well worth the price.

This is a nice looking pendant/chandelier. However, the onyx is about 1/2 inch thick and not a lot of light gets through it. I tried shining a very bright LED work light through it and even this was very muted. Then I placed the bowl on a plastic milk cart, on a large box, on the dining room table until it was about chin high. I then put 5 - 100 watt bulbs in it to check the brightness. Even at this wattage it gave the room a kind of orange glow but I would not be comfortable reading with this level of light. It was very pretty, but not practical for our application.
