Unboxing, Setup, & Typo Check The lamp arrived incredibly fast and was packaged securely with zero transit damage. Upon opening, I was surprised to find that the linen lampshade requires full assembly. While this usually signals a tedious setup process, I was pleasantly surprised that the entire lamp took only about 10 minutes to put together. Note on the description: The product details humorously state that a "bullet" is not included—which is clearly a typo for a lightbulb! Color Accuracy & Material Discrepancy Before purchasing, I noticed a contradiction on the product page: the main text describes a "walnut-colored solid wood lamp body," but digging into the technical specifications reveals the base color is actually listed as "red." Having received it, the specs are definitely more accurate than the description. It reads much more like a reddish cherry or mahogany finish rather than a deep, chocolate-brown walnut. While the finish is a bit too red for my specific preference, the beautiful arc shape and overall aesthetic are strong enough especially with the brass gold color, that I am happily keeping it. Functionality & Incorrect Dimmer Spec This piece offers great design flexibility. You can leave the beige linen shade on for a classic Mid-Century Modern look, or completely remove the shade to lean into a more industrial vibe. However, buyers looking for custom lighting should beware: the technical specifications claim this lamp features a "Dimmable" switch, but it does not. It features a simple on/off foot switch with absolutely no dimming capabilities, which I thoroughly verified by testing the lamp with three different types of lightbulbs.
