The lamp is pretty, but as other people have noted, the craftsmanship is pretty shoddy. There are chips in the finish of the base and what look like spots of adhesive, and the body of the lamp isn’t centered on the base. Also, you have to assemble the shade yourself, and there are some little dents in it that won’t pop out. All things considered, the price is pretty audacious (which these days is unsurprising, I guess).

This new Mercer 41 lamp is so beautiful. It has three different lighting modes. My very favorite is the base light at night. I have had so many compliments on this lamp. I am in love with it. The assembly was very easy. I would highly recommend this light for any room. Mine sits proudly in my living room. Love it

Nice versatile lamp. Has main light and nightlight feature. Lampshade included and assembles fairly easy. Lightswitch on main lamp threeway. Style compatiable with various decor. Simple and stylish accessory.

I got this lamp for my guest bedroom, and it looks like it’s going to work perfectly. The mother-of-pearl base is pretty and refined-looking without being cloying or fussy, and the four-way switch is so nice, allowing total flexibility in the amount of light you want. The nightlight mode, especially, is very cool. While it may be a bit bright as a nightlight in a bedroom, this would be awesome in a living room to help guests find their way. The lamp was packed very well, assembly of the shade was easy, and the harp went on without issue. I’m very pleased with this lamp!
