Great piece to pull a little fun into a room

I ordered this lamp to coordinate with two paintings we recently purchased on a trip to Italy. The paintings have some splashes of deep-to-dark blue in them, and we wanted to place the lamp adjacent to the paintings so that they would complement each other. I have been drawn to this lamp for about a month, but pulled the trigger when I picked up the newly-framed paintings this week. The lamp has a honeycomb design, with geometric shapes of deep blue; it has some weight to it (ceramic or a refined pottery feel) and it looks taller than 28 inches. The lampshade is white and has a linen look, but is a wider/rounder shape versus a tall shade, which adds to the character and uniqueness of the lamp. The color is beautiful and the design can be either whimsical/artsy or tailored/traditional (or somewhere in between) depending on your style and the room's decor.
