I’m still trying to figure out why the cord is connected to the neck of the light instead on the bottom base or the lamp.

I like the originality of the style. I am a little unhappy with the electrical wire which comes from where the lightbulb is located. The lampshade is nice but sewn a little crooked.

I love the way it looks and was easy to assemble. The gold has a slight tarnish-look to it, which I think is great and the base is a nice heavy piece of stone. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the cord hangs down from the light bulb post and that was not clear to me in the description or photos. The cord does have a nice cloth cover, but I still would have preferred for it to come from the base of the lamp. The shade is a nice soft white and it comes with a light bulb.

This is misrepresented in the photo. The finish is not gold, it’s a distressed, mottled goldbrass paint. And the cord comes out from just under the light bulb. It’s really weird.
