Luminaire suspendu simple 1 lumière

I had high hopes for this light and I was a little disappointed but some of that is on me. I didn’t realize it would be such a shiny gold so it didn’t match in the kitchen where I had wanted it originally. So we decided to forgo the extension rods and hang it as a semi flush fixture at the top of the stairs. This is where I blame myself. I didn’t realize it only takes a small candelabra bulb. You can’t use a standard lightbulb and get the glove back on. The globe is also not easy to remove so when the bulb blows eventually my husband is going to be cursing me on a ladder over the stairs. The best use of this light would be as a pendant and as ambient lighting but not task lights. The hallway will be dark until I get the nerve to ask my husband if we can replace it with something else. On the other hand it really is beautiful and the soft lighting is fever calming. There is no exposed bulb which I love
