It was exactly what I was looking for.

I'm disappointed in the color of the shade, the picture shows a very colorful shade, the shade I received is mostly yellow tones; not very colorful. Otherwise the lamp seems to be well constructed.

I'm glad to see that since my purchase, the photos have been updated to show more what the lamp ACTUALLY looks like. When it's on, it's yellow-brown, with a touch of blue here and there. However, when it's off, it's a much darker brownish-green than is shown here. The construction isn't as good as I would have hoped for the price - there are some sloppy/rough lines in the black between the "scales," and the single candelabra bulb means the metal at the top of the shade gets VERY hot. I kept the lamp because overall I'm satisfied in that it is still quite pretty and gives the room the kind of soft illumination I was looking for, but based on quality for cost I don't know that I would make the same purchase again.
