I purchased this for use above a standing height table that I use for work reading and various projects. The fixture cleanly washes the table with a good quality light, excellent for reading or drawing; and the shape and finish are perfect.
However, installation was needlessly difficult by 1) not making it easy to trim the low-voltage suspension cables and 2) very finicky mounting screws. The cables are sleek coaxial cables that are terminated by separating the braided exterior conductor and interior conductor neatly under heat shrink insulation. The instruction manual warns that trimming these requires electronics expertise, and that any modification will void the product warranty. There is some room to retract the wires into the canopy, but the manual recommends no more than 18". The second difficulty comes in mounting the canopy to the ceiling junction box. The canopy must be very precisely aligned in order to get all three screws into place. This is nearly impossible to do with one person while on top of a ladder. With a nearly infinite selection of slick mounting hardware options, it is a mystery why they decided to do such a poor mounting design.
