Nice sturdy metal construction- seems small for $50 each price paid, but does have dimming feature. I bought 2 and had to pay over $50 shipping cost to Hawaii, so total cost was over $150 to have 2 lights on my 2 nightstands next to my bed. Pretty simple & basic design... likely pay more for designer pretty or cute or artsy lamps, but I prefer just plain & functional. I liked this lamp because it had heat vent holes- which keeps bulb cooler and extends bulb life... as opposed to other similar lamps that lock in the heat with solid construction & no venting. Another feature I liked was ability of flex arm to move in any direction and not having a big support base that takes up flat surface space which requires cleaning- the metal clip-on feature avoids all that and allows for easy close or distant repositioning as needs arise or change. I recommend this lamp so far- only had for a couple days but I'm impressed considering made in China.
