It appears flat in the picture but it is obviously a globe. The glass is a little cloudy, making the quality not up to par with other similar products. I returned it partly because of this, and because Perigold sent a case of them to me instead of a single pendant.

I love the look of the light. One ceiling plate has two small scratches on the top and a few on the side. The other ceiling plate has two small black circles by the middle opening where the rod connects. I believe that the black circles will be covered when rod attachment is in place. I don’t think the scratches will be noticeable from below or I would return them. Other than that they look like will work out perfectly. They have yet to be hung in place so I can’t speak to what they look like when they are lighted.
