40 watts means walking into a dark room! What was I thinking? Although it measured 8 inches, it is still 'smaller' than my previous filament globe. Has an unusual brassy/orangey shine. This globe would never function with my overhead hanging kitchen fixture. Gives off as much light as a candle would!

Absolutely stunning! It's not super bright so it's perfect for soft lighting, moody and warm. It really adds atmosphere to a room.

The bulbs were not as bright as expected and were already opened and used.
