I had to find a DR chandelier that was appropriate for our 1940's New England new-to-us house with vintage colonial inspired details, a fixture that would be visible from the open layout kitchen in which I was changing out the light fixtures to black, industrial salvage looking pendant lights. I wanted antique inspired but not dowdy, not too zany either. I looked at dozens of chandeliers, measure 20 times cut once, so to speak. I only purchased this chandelier and it was PERFECT. It has just the right details and proportions and lines.
