UPDATE: I received new hardware from Toltec Lighting very quickly, and the socket was the correct length this time. There was never a question that the pendant light wasn't beautiful. Quality control was the problem. After getting it all hung up and connected to the wires of the chandelier we replaced, the last stwp was securing the shade to the socket using the socket ring. The socket, however, was too short, and therefore the shade could not be secured. Wayfair's response was to contact the manufacturer even though I ordered the item from Wayfair.
