I purchased two of these Regina Andrew Carmel Wood Table Lamps for my bedroom based on the product photos and description. The lamps arrived well-packaged, and I can confirm that the size and proportions are exactly as advertised. At approximately 26.5 inches tall with a 16-inch shade, they have a substantial presence and work well as flankers for my massive table behind my couch. The overall quality of the construction also feels solid and consistent with what I would expect at this price point. Where my experience diverged significantly from the listing was in the finish and appearance. The manufacturer describes the lamp as having a white-washed, distressed wood body with carved ridges that create sculptural interest and resemble driftwood aged by the sun and sea. Multiple retailer descriptions also emphasize the carved detailing, distressed finish, and textured appearance. In person, however, the lamp presents much more as white-on-white-on-white. The darker accents and contrast shown in the stock photography are either extremely subtle or nearly nonexistent on the lamps I received. The carved ridges are physically present, but the finish does not provide enough contrast to showcase them as the photos suggest. During the day, the detailing is difficult to notice unless you are standing very close to the lamp. Once the lamp is illuminated, the little contrast that does exist largely disappears, making the texture even less visible. While I understand that wood finishes can naturally vary and distressed finishes are not identical from piece to piece, I believe the photography creates expectations of a much more pronounced, dimensional look than what I actually received. I also had a frustrating experience with the return process. After contacting Perigold about exchanging the lamps, I was initially pleased because it appeared they were willing to stand behind the product. I carefully boxed both lamps for return, only to receive an email afterward stating that they would not be returned. Then, despite that communication, the carrier still arrived at my door. The mixed messages made the entire process confusing and left me uncertain about what was actually happening with my return request. Overall, these are attractive lamps with good proportions and quality construction, but buyers should be aware that the finish may appear significantly lighter and less defined than the online photos suggest. If you're purchasing them specifically for the visible distressed detailing and darker accenting shown in the stock images, you may be disappointed. I am giving these lamps 3 stars. I deducted one star because the actual finish and level of visible detailing did not match the impression created by the product photography and marketing description. I deducted another star because of the confusing and contradictory communication surrounding the attempted exchange and return process. The remaining three stars reflect that the lamps are well-made, accurately sized, and still attractive pieces despite not meeting my expectations for appearance.

Bought two of these for my bedroom and they are lovely. Sort of rustic looking but really textured and graceful.

Love the lamp. Is substantial, well made and looks great on my night stand. The only small complaint is that there is not a lot of clearance between the harp and light bulb.
