Beautiful lamp that I am using with a dimmable bulb. Very dramatic!

I wanted to love this lamp. It had an open box price that made it too tempting for reading. The lamp is a soft contempary and very attractive. The black shade is not silk, but is cardboard opaque w foil lining. There were numerous dents in the shade and where the corner turned it was rough on 2 sides. What was most frustrating was once I got a 150 w equivalen t buld in it it could only give out about a 60 w brightness. So frustrating! ...Maybe something happened when it was out of the box originally? Can't decide, but may return it.

This lamp is the perfect lamp for a masculine desk without being too masculine or feminine

We are very happy with the style and quality of the lamp.
