Pros: light is bright enough, magnifying glass is quite good quality and strong enough for my projects. Unit is heavy and solid. Cons: light is annoying to turn on - you have to have your finger in just the right place, which is hard to see. Light head may swivel 360° in that you can turn it completely upside down, but it has a VERY limited range of motion tipping it up and down. This is a huge problem as you can't get the light/magnifying glass down close enough to the table while remaining horizontal. So I use it at an angle, which reduces its area of effective magnification. Also, while the USB port is a good idea (my studio has few wall outlets), it only works with some chargers, and charges slowly. Lastly, a major problem is the fact that the light doesn't swivel or turn. I need to be able to move the light around to follow my work, and the base is very heavy. You expect to be able to turn a desk lamp; it's a major downside. I had a magnifying lamp previously which was very cheap and effective although the quality of the glass was quite inferior. I wish I still had it.
