For our installation we decided to buy these cables, cut them in half to get 2 ends, then connect the wire end to the NM-B coming from the wall (which carries the low voltage). For under cabinet lights which need less than 12" to get back to the wall, the length is perfect for making 2 plugs. Still expensive for plugs, but the cost ratio improved with this trick!
