The lamp is defective. Poorly designed and manufactured. The main joint is under engineered for the weight of the lamp head and length of the arm. The rosette has teeth that are way too shallow for the weight they are trying to hold. This causes the rosette to fail and the head to sag down/collapse. I tightened the knob with a pliers which worked for a time but then it sagged again. Ultimately the screw inside broke from my attempt to tighten it (poorly chosen material, too soft for the task).

Dissapointing. I loved the look of this lamp. Unfortunately it does not stay upright no matter how tight you screw the adjustable arm. I hate it.

A good looking lamp. One drawback is that the top arm does not raise as hight as what you see in the photo because the lock at joint of the top arm and main rod cannot lock tightly. The lamp works best for a work desk when you need good light for reading and looking at things closely, and it does not cause glare to computers.

We like it and they were quick to get us a new hardware kit, when other lamp fell apart.

I love it. It gives a broad and bright light in a focused area. Great for reading or a vanity.
