Absolutely gorgeous. It made the room. Very easy to assemble.

This lamp is gorgeous! The base is super heavy marble and looks terrific. This is much bigger than we expected, but we liked it so much, we are going to make it work!

It’s practical and comfortable the light is bright but doesnt bother the eyes. I love this lamp—it looks beautiful in my living room. I would recommend it to my friends, since they saw it at my house and loved it. I think Ill put another one in my bedroom. When I turn it on, it lights up my living room quite well. The light is soft and bright, and it doesnt bother you.

Not 87 inches. The highest possible reach obtained is 85 inches; the metal arm height not the shade. So because the shade hangs down you will have 70 1/4 inches of actual height due to the shade height of 11 1/4 inches. In addition, the extendable rod is not protected and so mine has scrapes on about a 1 -1/2 inch portion of curved rod exposed.

Instructions can be a little clearer although not hard to put together.
