It's great to have an unusual lamp made of natural materials. It's sturdier than we expected, although the rings glued to the sides do look like they might come off if a cat decides it's claw-sharpening time. It's not very tall, so a sturdy low piece of furniture underneath it might be cool, depending on the effect you want. WARNING although the specs say it takes E10 candelabra bulbs, ours actually needed E26 light bulbs (these are the standard US/Canadian screw-in light bulbs). We used LED ones.
