Although EXPENSIVE (these were for me) when you put them in a home, they will be lifetime keepers, and that's how I can justify to myself to spend the money I did, for them. They are metal, well made and pretty. I have an old adobe bungalow and these went well inside. I just wish I could afford to buy more for ALL of the outlets I have in the home
