Beautiful in person

Unless the light is facing so that it is visible only head on, the light bulb is the only thing you see. It would not do for a wall where the fixture is viewed from the side.

First of all, i didn't read the description. I wanted a plug-in but this is a HARDWIRE. No problem, bought a cord and now it's plugged in. I had to buy lightbulbs three times because I kept getting it wrong. Also had to drill a hole on the bottom for the cord to run through. Things to think about: unless this is meant to be forward facing and no one will be sitting beside it, then no worry about naked light coming out the sides. Light is diffused because of the glass but bulb is still bright and very visible. If you wanted really diffuse light ex: milk glass, then this isn't a good choice. No instructions for installation, i watched YouTube. Overall - I probably should have gone with a different style but it was passed the return date. This was installed by the bed, other side will be installed soon. Ignore the ugly cord, that'll be covered in brass.
