No damage. Compatible with a variety of bulbs to achieve different lighting looks. The instructions are translated to English inaccurately and will give you a good laugh.

This pendant light is gorgeous. I love the shadows it casts on the walls. I did not hardwire it, I wired a switch to it. Perfect in my living room!

Interesting light fixture, but be sure to get a “black base spot light bulb” if you don’t want the glare as seen in the photo.
